Day 1 – Arrival and Pick up
Have a meet and greet to assist with your luggage and immigration procedures, help you to meet your driver guide and transfer to your hotel. Diner and over night
Day 2- Full day Kigali city tour
Pick up from the hotel, start with a short city tour which includes the visit of the Kigali Genocide memorial, campaign against the genocide museum, the Nyamata and Ntarama churches that became the genocide memorials, local markets and art galleries, all these will give you a brief introduction about the country you’re visiting. You will En route for Lunch as you continue to enjoy your tour around the daily growing and vibrant Kigali.
Kigali is currently known as the safest and cleanest city in the whole Africa. While on this tour you will learn more about the history, community interaction and enjoy how things are done around.
Day 3- Transfer to VNP
You will check out from the hotel and start a scenic drive to the north of the country up to Musanze town, reaching there you will visit the Diana Fossey Museum and campus to know more about the Gorillas, check in to your lodge, and if time allows you visit the gorilla guardians cultural village for cultural experience including the Rwandan Traditional dance. Dinner and overnight.
Day 4 – Volcanoes NP-Gorilla trekkingÂ
Leave your hotel to start your gorilla trekking day, reach the park office for the briefing about the gorillas, then start your trekking into the park, once you meet the gorillas you will spend an hour with them taking photos and enjoying the memorable experience then climb down to the starting point where your guide will be waiting for you to drive back to your hotel. Lunch,and you spend your Evening at leisure (optional activity). Diner and Overnight
Day 5 – Golden Monkeys trekking –transfer to gisenyi.
Check out early in the morning and drive again to the VNP for golden monkey’s trekking experience. End the visit by noon, en route for lunch and continue to the vibrant part of the biggest Lake Kivu (Gisenyi town), check in at your hotel, Evening go for a night fishing experience with the Local fishermen, Dinner and overnight
Day 6 – Gisenyi – Kibuye
Leave Gisenyi in the morning and start a scenic drive with beautiful views of tea plantations to Kibuye town. Kibuye is a quiet, relaxing, beautiful and peaceful part of the Lake Kivu that you may not want to miss; once you reach there you will check in, have Lunch as you prepare for your evening boat ride to one of the small islands which offer a nice view of the Lake and other nature experiences. Dinner and overnight
Day 7 – Drive to Nyungwe NP-Canopy walk
Leave Kibuye in the morning and drive to Nyungwe National park. Check in at your lodge, lunch, relax then drive to have the canopy walkway experience, while on the canopy you will enjoy the beautiful views of the magic tropical rain forest of the great East African region. The canopy walk in Nyungwe is the third of its kind in Africa and the only one in the East African region, the experience includes some hike which connects you more with the nature. After the experience you will drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnightÂ
Day 8- Chimps trekking & Tea picking experience
Leave the hotel very early in the morning and go for the chimpanzees trekking. After trekking you drive back to the lodge to enjoy your hot lunch and have some rest, then go for tea picking and processing experience, this experience will bring you the interaction with the tea pickers and learn more about the benefits of tea to the communities around It, come back to the hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 9- Nyungwe to Kigali
Leave the forest in the morning and drive heading to Kigali, stopover in Huye town for a quick visit to the national museum after the visit you will En route for lunch and If time allows, you will stop in Nyanza for the visit of the kings palace museum and the royal cows then continue to kigali. Check in at your hotel. Dinner and overnight
Day 10 – Drive to Akagera NP- Sun set boat cruise
Early check out from the hotel and start your drive to Akagera National Park, check in at your lodge,have lunch,relax and drive for sunset boat cruise on the biggest lake in the park which is the second biggest in Rwanda, Boat cruise experience in this park increases your chance to see the water animals which are rarely seen during the game drive on land, after boat you drive back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight
Day 11 – Full day game drive ANP
Leave your hotel in the morning and go for a full game drive from the south to the Northern Part of the park, you will En route for a picnic lunch in one of the park’s campsites alongside one of the 10 lakes that are within the Park, the game drive will offer you a big chance to spot most of the big 5 mammals. After lunch you will continue to enjoy what nature can offer until Karenge bush camp where you will have your diner and overnight.
Day 12: Early morning game drive -check out from ANP –airport transfer
On this day you will start early in the morning at 5:30 going to do a short game drive which increases the chance to sport the big cats as they are coming from the hunt, after this experience you will go back to the lodge, shower, have breakfast, checkout then have your 4 hours’ drive to Kigali for your departure flight.
